Harry Potter Inspired Wizard Wands

You're a wizard, Harry! Those infamous words. To say that the Harry Potter series is popular would be putting it mildly. The books and movies are a worldwide pop culture phenomenon and nothing has caused such a craze as Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. It is only recently that we have introduced our daughter to the wizarding world and she is most definitely becoming a Potterhead.

A special wizard deserves a special Harry Potter wand. These chocolate covered wafer wands are exactly what you need for any Harry Potter fan as a treat for a Harry Potter-a-thon, for a school bake sale or a Harry Potter themed party. They are so easy to make and they look and taste delicious.

These wizard wands are so easy to make, especially if you can get the little ones to lend a helping hand. They can help dip wafers into the chocolate and get a little messy with the decorations so they can add their own unique flair to their wands.

These Wizard Wands look great on tables in glass jars on a birthday table, you can even use candy melts in the house colours and label the wands if you wanted to. So why not wow muggles with these Harry Potter inspired magic wizard wands.

To make these Harry Potter Wizard Wands you will need:

500g Milk Chocolate or Chocolate Chips

100g Dark Chocolate

Instructions

1. Lay a piece of parchment paper onto a baking tray.

2. Melt the chocolate in a bowl set over a pan of simmering water, (do not let the base of the bowl touch the water). Stir the mixture until smooth and remove the bowl from the heat and gently stir.

3. Dip each wafer into the tall glass making sure to completely coat it with chocolate. Lay on the parchment paper to allow the chocolate to harden. However, you could spoon the chocolate on the wands over the bowl instead.

4. Melt the dark chocolate in a bowl over a pan of simmering water, stir until smooth and remove the bowl from the heat. Once the chocolate has cooled slightly dipping a spoon into the chocolate and drizzle over the wands, be as creative as you like. You could even try and create Harry, Hermione or even Luna Lovegood's wand. Why not swap the milk chocolate for white and create Lord Voldermort's wand?
