REVIEW | L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfection Micellar Water

|

Micellar waters seem to have become quite popular in the beauty world with lots of brands bringing out their own product to take on the trend. For those who don't know...micellar waters are a type of make up remover where oil is held in the water but in a way where the two don't separate. It is therefore a really effective make up remover that doesn't leave an oily feeling on your face and will help to cleanse and tone your skin too. For me I have been an avid user of Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. But I have seen that many bloggers have been raving about L'Oréal Skin Perfection Micellar Water, some even suggesting its a great dupe for Bioderma. I was quite curious and I had to find out if this micellar water could live up to the claims.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Used by make-up artists, L'Oréal Paris Skin Perfection Micellar Water feels as gentle as water on your skin but acts like a make-up remover, toner and skin smoother all in one. Swiftly dissolving all traces of make-up, the 'micellar' solution acts like a purifying magnet on the skin's surface to capture and draw out excess oil and impurities rather than spreading them. So gentle, skin feels soothed and toned.

- No alcohol, perfume

- Hypo-allergenic

- Dissolves make-up

- Unclogs pore and remove impurities

FOR THE BEST RESULT

Apply using a cotton wool pad onto dry skin. Hold over the lashes, lids and lips for a few seconds and then sweep away. No need to rinse or rub. Use morning and evening.

WHY I LOVE THIS PRODUCT

This Skin Perfection Micellar Water has been especially created for people who have dry and sensitive skins...Hooray! My skin is extremely sensitive, I have eczema in certain places yet I also have an oily t-zone therefore you if haven't guessed my skin is all over the place, but with the colder weather my skin is SUPER-sensitive. Boooo you skin! This product is hypoallergenic and does not contain alcohol or perfume, therefore it does not irritate my skin at all, it literally feels like water!

So why is it good? It removes make-up so perfectly! When I use this product I will take my cotton pad and pop some of the solution on and then hold the cotton pad over my eye for a few seconds and then wipe clean. It doesn't leave my skin feeling tight or dry after usage and yet leave no from of residue whatsoever...just like 'water'! I have SUPER-sensitive skin and I really do have to be careful what I use on my skin I thought using this product would have been troublesome...but its perfect for me.

The only downside about this product is the packaging! Even thought the packaging looks great and I love that its a slim bottle, which would be great for travelling. I found that once I began to use to use the product it was really awkward to use as it has a rectangle lid and the nozzle was quite large and I could never get the right amount of product on my cotton pad which lead to a lot of product wastage. I went through this bottle in about three months.

Overall I do think that this is a great make-up remover especially for people with sensitive skin. I would highly recommend this micellar water as it removes all my makeup, does not irritate my skin, there are no harsh chemicals and makes my skin feel super soft and so clean. I also think its great for people who hate removing their makeup after a night out...its not great to use baby wipes...because you can use the micellar water before bed as it states that there is no need to rinse. I wouldn't recommend this on a regular basis though. On a daily basis I will still cleanse after using the make-up remover to make sure that my skin is completely make-up free, followed by a good moisturiser.

Would I buy this product again? Hell yes, because it is a great product and for £4.99 *on offer in Boots for £3.33* so you can't really go wrong! Have you tried the L'Oréal Paris Skin Perfection Micellar Water?

WICKED WEDNESDAY | #3 Please sit IN the car...

|
This is a child that will push and pull her car, that will open the doors on her car, press the buttons on her car, will sit ON the car but there is no way that she will sit IN this car! If either my husband or I try to sit her in the car she will scream and scream until we give in and turn it off. So I couldn't help but find it funny when she did this...

Explore The Adventure: A Visit To The Seaside in the Winter!

|

Although some people will only think that visiting the seaside is only for the summer there are so many wonderful things that you can do that does not require getting wet or cold (providing its not pouring down with rain, of course). I know that you will think that I am completely bonkers but you should take a trip to the seaside during the winter! Believe me when I say that there is a certain appeal to seeing the coast in all its beauty in the colder weather. Going to the beach is a different experience altogether and the best part about it all? More often than not you will have a whole stretch of beach to yourselves so little ones can run wild and you will always be able to see where they are from any vantage point. So without further ado here are my reasons as to why you should go to the coast in the winter...

1. Beautiful photo opportunities

I am not the best at taking photographs however this does not stop me from snapping away. Both my husband and I love to get our camera out and a beach in the winter is perfect location for those beautiful landscape photos. But we will always make sure that we take lots of photos of our daughter and an odd selfie or two.

2. Shell collecting.

I can always remember shell collecting when I was child and now my little one is old enough she will be able to enjoy it as much as I did. Thinking back to a visit to the beach in the winter with our niece, I was soon to realise how much she enjoyed shell collecting when I took her coat off and was covered in shells and sand! Lets just hope that our daughter doesn't do the same at our next visit to the beach I really don't fancy getting sand EVERYWHERE again! Just remember to save your treasures you collect from your trip to the beach. As they can be made into a crafty masterpiece made become a little keepsake to look back on.

3. Fly a kite.

Lets go fly a kite, up to the highest height... Little ones love flying kites and if you don't have one it could be fun trying to make one. I have come across some great tutorials from My Best Kite that show in detail how to make small kites for small children to the larger flying creation for the bigger children. Yes Dads we are talking about you!

4. Make sand castles

An outing to the beach, even in the winter, is not complete with getting sand everywhere. So you best make sure that you dig out your bucket and spade from the garden shed as you will be needing it.

5. Play Games

Don't let the cold weather stop you from playing some of your favourite games at the beach, everyone loves a kick about so go get yourself sandy. You never know you may fancy a little paddle in the sea to cool down from building up a sweat. Or maybe not!

6 Lastly...

A visit to the seaside is not complete without indulging in some fresh fish and chips as you walk along the promenade. However if the cold does get too much you could always enjoy your hot food in a car and watch the waves crash against the shore.

What is your favourite winter activity with your children?

I have put together a little gift guide for all you ladies out there to give you some inspiration for that special man in your life. As I only know too well how difficult they can be. I found Christmas hard enough because whenever I would ask him what he'd like for Christmas I would get a 'anything' response, which is annoying as I never have a clue and I don't really want to buy him something that he doesn't even want. This is a new fragrance that has been launched by Hugo Boss - a soon to be favourite I am sure.

4. Taylor of Old Bond Street Pure Badger Brush Gift Box Set, £29.95 from Amazon. - How adorable is this set? It would be the perfect gift for your guy to keep himself groomed...I don't fancy owning one of those bearded guys yet!

RECIPE | Courgette, Carrot & Sweetcorn Fritters

|

Yesterday I was strolling through some of my older post and came across my first recipe post and the plonker I am I forgot to actually share the recipe and method with everyone. Haha...When my daughter was weaning we used a mixture of baby led weaning and pureed foods, there are so many baby led weaning recipes and these simple and easy fritters are pretty much a staple in our home.

So for this recipe you will need...

1 egg
50g self raising flour
1 tbsp. milk
1 tbsp. sweet chilli sauce
100g courgette, grated
I50g carrot, grated
4 spring onions, sliced
2 tbsp. canned sweetcorn
50g mature cheese, grated

METHOD

1. In a bowl beat the egg, add the flour and milk until smooth. Then combine all your ingredients together and season with salt and pepper.

2. Heat a little oil in a frying pan and depending on the size you want your fritters spoon the mixture into the frying pan and fry for 2-3 minutes each side until golden brown. I tend to use two teaspoons to spoon my mixture into the frying pan as they are the perfect size for little ones.

These fritters are great for fussy eaters! We love them so much as they are just so easy to prepare and do not take much time at all. Perfect for a quick bite to eat for the little ones.
