Birchbox - April 2020: One of a Kind

Oh hey, April! For the this month's box, Birchbox have collaborated with Anthropologie with a cute patterned box. It’s always fun whenever the boxes have a special design, and this month it has a very colourful red, white and blue pattern. The theme for the box is celebrating individuality with their One of a Kind box full of five beauty treats. Birchbox have teamed up with Anthropologie, the home of unique treasures that consists of women’s apparel and accessories, intimates, home furniture and décor, beauty and gifts.

Every subscriber will receive a KNDR Beauty Mood Balm as part of their box choice in either Postively Pink or Sobert Serenity. A Brushworks Silicone Pad, a Lapcos Pearl Sheet Mask and Purifying Face Wash from Huygens. Everything I would need for a pamper evening. Birchbox is £12.95 per month, and it’s a rolling contract so you can cancel your subscription at any time. All beauty boxes are having delays this month due to the global crisis, so don’t panic if your box takes longer than normal to arrive. So without further ado let's take a closer look.

KNDR Beauty Mood Balm in Sorbert Serenity. RRP| £13

Now, this is no ordinary balm! A color shifting lip balm that transforms just for you, adjusting to your unique PH. Leaving a sheer, lux finish that hydrates your lips. For my choice this most I opted for Sorbet Sorenity which is a fun and vibrant orange. Initially I thought that due to the colour that it would be horrendous, but actually this mood balm gave me a gorgeous pink sheen to my lips. It glides on smoothly and left my lips feeling moisturised, hydrated with my unique hue.

Lapcos. Pearl Sheet Mask. RRP | £13

Who doesn't love a face mask on a Sunday evening to get you ready to take on the week ahead! Well, I know I try to get in a little me time to get prepared, especially now with this lockdown and home schooling. This easy-to-apply sheet mask is full of hardworking ingredients like glow-boosting pearl extract, anti-inflammatory white flower and moisturising glycerin. Something most of us mamas need in our life. Absolutely love this face mask. My skin looked dewy and refreshed after using this, and it helped brightened, nourished and helped even my skin tone.

Percy & Reed. Eau My Goodness Mini No-Fuss Fabulousness Dry Shampoo. RRP | £6

I love Percy & Reed! This volumising dry shampoo is great for using for hose in between days to give a little life to your roots and hair. The unique formula contains ultra-fine cornflour which absorbs excess oil without eating any residue, along with its limited edition fragrance, with peony, rose and rhubarb to leave your hair smelling so good.

Brushworks Silicone Pad in Light Pink. RRP | £5

Ooooh a Birchbox exclusive!!! I really love finding these little exclusives with Birchbox, can anyone remember their pink makeup brush cleaner? I could wait to use this Brushworks Silicone Pad which is made from ultra-hygienic, flexible silicone with tiny bristles, it’s designed to lift away impurities and makeup whilst gently exfoliate the skin. I have used it a couple of times already and I'm obsessed and it's helped banish many of those blemishes!

Huygens Infusion Blanche Purifying Face Wash. RRP | £21

I am forever changing my skincare routine as it needs a little shake up every now and then. So I couldn't wait to try this Purifying Face Wash. I'm a Caudalie girl at heart, but always open to trying new products and I'm very impressed with this face wash from Hugens. My skin looks great after a few days of using this cleanser. It works really well with the brushwork silicone cleanser pad. This is great for those who have oily or acne prone skin and seeing as I have an oily T-Zone it's a good wash to add into my routine. The blend of tea tree, aloe vera and glyerin eliminates every last trace of residual makeup and grime without leaving your skin feeling dry or tight, just bright, clear and healthy.

I LOVED my Birchbox this month! It was full of product that I would normally use and I have made some new discoveries, which is my favourite part about being a subscriber! I also thought that the collaboration with Anthropolgie was a big hit with me and the fact that there is a 20% discount inside my box was a fantastic gesture!

So what did you think? Are you a Birchbox fan? If not, you should at least try a couple of boxes. A monthly Birchbox subscription, with no long-term commitment, costs just £10 (+ £2.95 P&P) per month.
