The Most Indulgent Evening with Olverum

Life with a child that is well and truly into the throes of the threenagers years can be hard work. That along with the unforgiving wind and rain getting indoors after a long day is something that I really look forward to. There is nothing quite like planning an indulgent evening once in a while, it is something that we all need to do more of, but as parents it's so hard right? I know that my three year old daughter keeps me on my toes most of the time and by the time she goes to bed I am too tired to want to have me time, but even so, I need to make time to rest and recuperate. The best way to begin an indulgent evening is with a long relaxing soak in the bath, to help ease your aching muscles with Olverum Bath Oil.

Before we begin to talk about the Olverum Bath Oil itself, let's talk about the packaging. It’s a simple design in a glass embossed bottle. Inside the box is a small leaflet which gives a brief history of Olverum, instructions on how to use the bath oil and the ingredients list. Olverum also doesn’t test on animals, which makes this bath oil even more appealing. The essential oils used include Rosemary, Siberian Fir Needle, Lavender, Eucalyptus, Lemon Peel, Juniper, Lime, Lavandin, Exotic Verbena and Geranium Flower, which all come together to form a scent that is very relaxing.

The Olverum Bath Oil is a unique and luxurious aromatic blend of essential oils. With just a few drops in your bath, these carefully chosen extracts combine to help ease stress and relax tension in both mind and body, bringing you back to your complete and natural self. This highly concentrated, therapeutic bath oil contains 10 pure essential oils, carefully blended to work together. It is a very effective way to naturally relieve stress and to help you achieve a good nights’ sleep. The story of Olverum is as rich and rare as the oil itself, involving a family secret carried for decades, and several lifetimes of passion and specialist knowledge. The formulation has remained largely unchanged for 87 years, so they know they stuff when it comes to bath oils. As far as claims go, Olverum Bath Oil makes quite a few. According to its packaging, it’s pampering, therapeutic, comforting, soothing and relaxing. If it does all that, it’ll be at the top of our my list for the most indulgent evenings.

After a full on week with nursery runs in the rain, errands, deadlines and meetings. As a result I have not been getting much sleep either, with midnight wake up calls because the lady has found a spider on her pillow, (it was just a bad dream). I was beginning to feel as if it's catching up with me and I am full on grumpy at the moment, so an indulgent evening is definitely on the cards. A little goes a long way, only needing a cap full for a bath and my bathroom is immediately filled with a strong scent, making me feel more at ease and definitely relaxed. After an an hour in candle light bath and no noise as the threenager is sleeping it was time to get out of the tub and see if this bath oil actually helps with my sleep. Frankly, I did sleep better than I have ever done before. I didn't even hear my daughter during the night, my husband said she got up a couple of times. So my sleep must have been deep and by the time morning came around I didn't really want to get out. So the answer is pretty well by all accounts.

In a nutshell, this Olverum Bath Oil is pretty amazing. And it is something that I would repurchase, however I think that will be some time before that happens. But if you do make one purchase this month or you are thinking about something a little more indulgent for your Mum for Mother's Day then look no further that this little bottle of oil. It's one purchase I can assure you, you won't regret.

  8. I've heard so much about bath oils in general and I've never, ever tried them! Maybe it's high time that I get my a into g and just DO IT. I mean, winter is right around the corner, so that's the perfect time. Right? I love the fact that this brand doesn't test on animals. That's something I can definitely get behind!
