BIRCHBOX: January 2022 - Make it Count.

It's the first Birchbox of the year and what better way to kick-start the new year than with some new beauty and skincare finds. But, this box has been a bit of a let down. I don't know what is going on with Birchbox but they have been missing the mark with their boxes.

The Make it Count box has been designed to help and encourage subscribers to embrace any small conscious changes this year, and to remember that these actions will have an impact. I really like the theme of this month's box as all the products that have been included have been made with the environment in mind. Every Birchbox subscriber with get a Greenfrog Natural Shower Gel and a Balance Me product. There is also a Newseed Rise & Shine Papaya Hair Mask and a ARROW Under Eye Brightening Serum. A collection of great product are more sustainable.

Birchbox have replaced the usual drawer style boxes with a mesh TurtleBags tote that you can use for shopping, storing, or taking your lunch to work. So let's see what's inside...

It uses a blend of AHAs; Glycolic, Lactic, Malic, and Tartaric alongside lemon, bilberry, sugar cane, and grapefruit extracts in synergy. The AHA extracts are enhanced with kaolin clay to draw out impurities and maintain the skin's natural moisture barrier. I Love this face mask, my skin feels noticeably smoother and brighter after use. Excellent to use when your skin is feeling tired, lacklustre and in need of a pick me up!

This ARROW Under Eye Brightening Serum helps to brighten and conceal your under eyes for an instant pick-me-up. It provides light and buildable coverage with moisturizing and smoothing benefits. There is still a lot of pigment in the light, thin liquid. This enables me to cover my very, very dark circles yet not appear to wear makeup. This is my everyday foundation staple. This product is also great for when I want to combine it with a tinted BB or CC cream to add a finishing detail to my makeup without over doing it.

That's why I enjoy being a subscriber because I get to discover new brands and products. This nourishing hair mask is made with 98% natural ingredients that has a sweet exotic fragrance that reminds you of summer. The formula with papaya extract detangles, moisturises, and nourishes hair from root to tip. Additionally enriched with organic coconut oil, this nourishing balm provides your hair with softness, vitality, and shine. Smooth and silky, without weighing the hair down.
