Bright & Whimsical Themed Bedroom Decor

Hands down, creating a little girl bedroom has been one of my favourite projects to date! From coming up with ideas, pinning inspiration pictures and slowly, but surely figuring out a design plan. It has been such a fun experience from start to finish. But now that she's not so little her bedroom needs an update.

For her room I was inspired by woodland animals and just wanted to make her room bright and airy. I thought that a combination of whites, pink and cute animals was precious and it ended up being the perfect theme for our little girls room. I have used a lot of bright whites and light pinks to keep the room bright and open.

We paired cream walls with a beautiful textural blush pink rug which blends in so nicely with the grey carpets. We wanted to get a chrome pendant that helps make a statement but still has nice round lines and we are obsessed with this gorgeous ripple effect glass shade that will do just that.

We layered in lots of soft pink, florals and neutrals colours though a beautiful selection of accents, books, ornaments, floral arrangements textiles and canvases. One of my favourite decor pieces are the pink and gold dream catcher, which are another key elements to making a statement in her room.

My daughter's bedroom furniture really needs updating as she is simply outgrowing her furniture. I adore the simplicity of white furniture as it seems so elegant and can be paired with some many designs and decor ideas. So of course, we will be updating these very soon I just need to find the perfect set that will last her more than a couple of years, and we will pair these with pewter look knobs that will be the perfect finishing touch.

We also have some wood tones with the armchair, doors and some painted decor. I have also added some hand made floral bunting that sit just above her new bed, a soft plush bin and the most adorable woodland themed canvas.

I found these beautiful designs from Photowall who have a whole range of designs in wallpapers, murals, prints, posters and you can even upload your own design. There are thousands of motifs in so many shapes and sizes. It’s even easier when the canvas print is made precisely to your measurements on an environmentally friendly canvas. All just one click away.

You can order your canvas print with or without an inner frame. The DIY inner frame is easy to assemble without tools. Everything you need for your canvas print comes in the package, including the wire for hanging. Honestly. these were so easy to assemble and take minutes to do. The print is of the highest quality and will not fade in sunlight. Your print will arrive in a cardboard box that is partially or entirely made from recycled materials, and you can use our 100 per cent recyclable wooden frame to hang your print on the wall.

We decided to get two canvases for our daughter's room from the designer Lila + Lola on the Photowall website and we're so in love with them. We have the deer and rabbit that are surrounded by pretty pink floral arrangements which is just perfect for our daughter's bedroom. There is still a way to go with our daughter's bedroom but so far this adorable space is filled with a beautiful sense of calm and beauty. But we shall update you all of our progress as we go along.
