My Everyday Make-Up Look

I hope you're having a great day so far? We have been cooped up inside today because my little lady is not very well, she was absolutely fine this morning and then started to get cranky and super clingy, something she never does. So we both got our duvets and had a duvet day on the sofa. Being as she's asleep I thought I would sit down and finally share my daily make-up routine with you all. My makeup routine does change with the seasons but this is my current go to makeup look.

1. Prepare your canvas

Start with a fresh clean canvas. Your make up will not last all day if your skin is greasy from your nights sleep. To begin my daily routine I will give my face a good cleanse and add a thick layer of moisturiser Aloe Vera Soothing Face Cream*(£12.00) which is great for my sensitive and dry skin. Don't forget to check out my review.

2. Primers are a hidden gem

Do you use a Primer? I have only recently started to use a primer. Before this, I thought that it was a waste of money - how wrong was I? A make-up primer is one little gem that I will no longer go without as there are so many benefits to using one. A primer can help make your pores smaller, soften your skin, helps your make-up look better lasts much longer. I have been using this fantastic L'Oréal Paris Primer* (£10.00) and I cannot tell you anything but good things about and it has become a product that I need repurchased. It's a fantastic product and does exactly what it's set out to do and if you can even wear this with or without make up, this primer gives you a real glow and feels lovely on your skin.

3. Foundation

It is so important to get the perfect match when it comes to foundation, not only for your skin tone but when it comes to your skin type. My skin changes along with the seasons and currently my skin is dry and has become super sensitive. Sudocrem will be my new best friend for those dry patches. I will need to use a good coverage of foundation that will not cling to those dry patches that will hydrate my skin. With my chosen foundation (I have so many) I will dab the product onto the face with my foundation brush and blend. On my forehead brush back and forth, on the cheeks brush down and away from the centre of your face and on my chin and nose brush back and forth. I never wear the same foundation because some days I will feel like wearing light to no coverage and other days I will build up my coverage.

4. Conceal those impurities

This differ between people. Some like to put on before foundation but for me, I think its best to add a concealer after you have applied your foundation. A concealer is something that I will always have ready to hand when needed. I have used so many different concealers and all depending on the thickness of my chosen concealer I can add a little moisturiser to help the concealer lasts longer. Rimmel Wake Me Up and Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer* (£4.19) are really amazing concealers that suit all budgets. All depending on your type of concealer dab under the dark circles and any breakouts you may have and then blend.

5. Powder it up

I will also add some powder to my face to create a flawless finish. I normally use a buffing brush or this Body Shop Face & Body Brush* (£16.00) and swirl my brush into the product and apply to my forehead, nose, chin and neck. I love this Bare Minerals* (22.50) powder in light/medium for my ghost like skin this product it so easy to apply and comes in a perfect compact-sized with mirror that can easily be popped into your handbag.

6. Bronzer

After creating base its time for bronzing or contouring, go and check out my Friday Fave for a very good contouring palette for beginners. But for you ladies who prefer a bronzer, Benefit Hoola Bronzer* (£23.50) is the one for you because it's so easy to apply and very subtle and natural looking - It even comes with a small brush that helps bronze you perfectly. To apply your bronzer put the brush into the product, tap off the excess, sweep up and down the outer cheek gradually making your way in, it leaves your skin with a natural glow.

7. Blush

I know that not everyone likes to add a blusher but some days when I look ghost white even if I do contour and add bronzer I still add a blush to my cheeks. I have quite the stash of blushers but they are all of pink tones as I think that this colour suits my complexion better. For my everyday make-up look I use this this True Match Blush*(£6.99) from L'Oréal Paris, 105, Rose Pastel. This True Match Blush leave my cheeks feeling soft with a healthy looking glow about them, it's also compact-size with a brush and a mirror for easy on the go application.

8. Eyes

Normally for my everyday look I will start by adding a eyeshadow primer, Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion*(£8.00) is perfect, just add a little bit before your eyeshadow for crease-free eyeshadow staying power. Then I will get my neutral eyeshadow on with the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette*(£38.50) what I love about this palette is that's it's just so versatile with the different mattes, pearls and glimmering metallic, from pale shimmery pinks to deep, warm black there are just so many make-up looks you can create and that's why so many people love this palette. Then I will then use my Benefit Roller Lash Curling Mascara*(£19.50) to give my eyes more definition and - that's it, unless I am feeling really fancy and add an eyeliner. But with a feisty two year old I don't have too much time to create the perfect cat eyes!

9. It's all about the eyebrows

Everyone knows that's it's all about the brows at the moment and there are so many ways people do their eyebrows, some prefer a subtle natural looking eyebrows while some prefer the dramatic thick clearly drawn on eyebrows. My favourite way to apply my eyebrows are with powders as I am able to fill in my sparse eyebrows and build them up gradually so that they appear natural. I use L'Oréal Paris Brow Artiste Genius Kit*(9.99) in Medium to Dark. Inside this kit you get a tinted wax, setting powder, a mini pair of tweezers and a double ended brush which comes with a firm angled brush on one end and a spoolies on the other. The kit is so neat and compact and comes with a mirror in the lid so it is perfect to pop into your handbag.

10. Lip Service

At the moment everyone seems to have gone absolutely bonkers for the Kylie Jenner Lip Kit and as much as I would love one I never seem to be able to get my hands on one, maybe subconsciously some reviews have put me off, I am not sure. But nonetheless I do love plump lips, thankfully I was blessed with big smackers and by adding a little gloss to my lips does wonders. So that's exactly what I do. I know matte finishes are in but I can't help thinking that I just want to lick my lips all the time. Anyone else think that? Have you heard of Nuskin Conturing Lip Gloss*(£20.80), I am more than sure a consultant have appeared on social media somewhere and no wonder why as there are some amazing products. Luckily one of my friends is a consultant so there are always deals or promotions with her products.

So there you have it everyone.

My everyday make-up look. I am not going to lie there are some days where I think I will go natural but I have lots of visitors and I don't want to scare the postman too much first thing in the morning. But everyone likes a selfie so here is my everyday make-up look!!! Are there any products that you use everyday?
