REVIEW | L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfection Micellar Water

Micellar waters seem to have become quite popular in the beauty world with lots of brands bringing out their own product to take on the trend. For those who don't know...micellar waters are a type of make up remover where oil is held in the water but in a way where the two don't separate. It is therefore a really effective make up remover that doesn't leave an oily feeling on your face and will help to cleanse and tone your skin too. For me I have been an avid user of Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. But I have seen that many bloggers have been raving about L'Oréal Skin Perfection Micellar Water, some even suggesting its a great dupe for Bioderma. I was quite curious and I had to find out if this micellar water could live up to the claims.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Used by make-up artists, L'Oréal Paris Skin Perfection Micellar Water feels as gentle as water on your skin but acts like a make-up remover, toner and skin smoother all in one. Swiftly dissolving all traces of make-up, the 'micellar' solution acts like a purifying magnet on the skin's surface to capture and draw out excess oil and impurities rather than spreading them. So gentle, skin feels soothed and toned.

- No alcohol, perfume

- Hypo-allergenic

- Dissolves make-up

- Unclogs pore and remove impurities

FOR THE BEST RESULT

Apply using a cotton wool pad onto dry skin. Hold over the lashes, lids and lips for a few seconds and then sweep away. No need to rinse or rub. Use morning and evening.

WHY I LOVE THIS PRODUCT

This Skin Perfection Micellar Water has been especially created for people who have dry and sensitive skins...Hooray! My skin is extremely sensitive, I have eczema in certain places yet I also have an oily t-zone therefore you if haven't guessed my skin is all over the place, but with the colder weather my skin is SUPER-sensitive. Boooo you skin! This product is hypoallergenic and does not contain alcohol or perfume, therefore it does not irritate my skin at all, it literally feels like water!

So why is it good? It removes make-up so perfectly! When I use this product I will take my cotton pad and pop some of the solution on and then hold the cotton pad over my eye for a few seconds and then wipe clean. It doesn't leave my skin feeling tight or dry after usage and yet leave no from of residue whatsoever...just like 'water'! I have SUPER-sensitive skin and I really do have to be careful what I use on my skin I thought using this product would have been troublesome...but its perfect for me.

The only downside about this product is the packaging! Even thought the packaging looks great and I love that its a slim bottle, which would be great for travelling. I found that once I began to use to use the product it was really awkward to use as it has a rectangle lid and the nozzle was quite large and I could never get the right amount of product on my cotton pad which lead to a lot of product wastage. I went through this bottle in about three months.

Overall I do think that this is a great make-up remover especially for people with sensitive skin. I would highly recommend this micellar water as it removes all my makeup, does not irritate my skin, there are no harsh chemicals and makes my skin feel super soft and so clean. I also think its great for people who hate removing their makeup after a night out...its not great to use baby wipes...because you can use the micellar water before bed as it states that there is no need to rinse. I wouldn't recommend this on a regular basis though. On a daily basis I will still cleanse after using the make-up remover to make sure that my skin is completely make-up free, followed by a good moisturiser.

Would I buy this product again? Hell yes, because it is a great product and for £4.99 *on offer in Boots for £3.33* so you can't really go wrong! Have you tried the L'Oréal Paris Skin Perfection Micellar Water?

  1. Ohh this sounds great. My skin is also a bit all over the place and it definitely gets worse is this cold weather. I am a bit rubbish at keeping up with a good skin care routine but this sounds easy to use and like it really works.
