Staying Active with Jump It Lap Counter

The last couple of years, we have found it too easy to let our healthy habits slide and get stuck in a rut. We would miss a workout and then another. Forget to meal plan for the week and find ourselves ordering takeaway rather than cooking from scratch.

But it is so easy to fall into that rabbit hole of allowing those bad choices to continue and become very bad habits. Fortunately, there are plenty of easy ways to get healthy and back on track whether you're feeling that you want to venture into the world for an hour, or prefer to stay active and have as much fun as you can.

It may take some time as exercise can get boring and repetitive. However, there are many ways to make exercise fun, whether you have five minutes or five hours. My goal is to get us all more active and reduce our screen time this year, so this summer we are teaming up with Character Toys with their Stay Active Campaign to explore some family-friendly toys that can be enjoyed at home or outside with the whole family.

The Stay Active range features family-inclusive activity toys and games that can be played both inside and out, promoting great active fun. As well as existing favourites Jump It Lap Counter and Moon Shoes, with additions that include Splash Out, a game that requires a player to throw the ball to another person to avoid getting splashed out and so many more. We are very excited to join the Character Options’ Campaign to Stay Active this summer, so be sure to come back to find out what other exciting things we do in a bid to get stay active in the coming months.

By taking part in this campaign as a family we will be healthier, reduce our screen time and help our mental wellbeing too. With their toy range you will also be able to learn new skills that will aid movement, balance, improve self-esteem and most definitely boost confidence. So we want to kick start this campaign with the Jump It Lap Counter...

You can't help but feel nostalgic when you think about the old toys you once cherished. Even when you're all grown up, there's nothing quite like playing with your old toys. So you can imagine my excitement when we unboxed the Jump It Lap Counter. It brought back fond memories of sunny afternoons in the garden with my sister, competing to see who could make the most skips in one go. So it felt wonderful to watch my daughter enjoying the Jump It Lap Counter just as much as I did. It may take me a while to get back into the swing of things since I'm not quite as fast as I used to be. It took my daughter about ten minutes to get it, and she absolutely loves it.

The Jump It Lap Counter is super fun jump and skipping game that can be played indoors and outdoors. You simply screw together, place on your ankle, spin the lap counter ball, jump the cord. You can record up to 1,000 laps, however I think it will take us some time to build up to that many laps. The Jump It Lap Counter is now available at Smyths and retails at £12.99 which is great value for the hours of fun in the sun with the whole family. How many laps could you do?
