It feels great to be able to get out and enjoy some sunshine. I for one am glad that the summer is nearly here. Getting the chance to spend more time outdoors with family and friends really appeals. So, with this in mind, I thought I would write a summer fashion related post. As you can see here, most stores already have all of their warm weather clothing in stock. That includes clothes that you can use to keep you warm should the sun pop behind a cloud or for the evening.
Stylish kimonos for all occasions
This year, the kimono is back in vogue. There are several cuts available, everything from full-length to hip-length versions. If you are planning an evening out, a long kimono is the most glamorous option.
The shorter ones look good when worn with jeans or soft trousers. The only drawback is that they do not have buttons or a zip down the front. If you do not think this will be practical, just buy one that has a belt, instead.
Versatile straps
Wraps are another nice option. But, they are not ideal if you are doing something active. They can easily double up as something to sit on for a picnic or on the beach. Provided you choose something that is lightweight enough you can easily slip one into your bag. Or, even tie it to the strap.
Striking shrugs
Shrugs only cover your arms and shoulders. On the hanger, they look a bit odd, but once you try a couple on you will be hooked. They tend to look best worn with casual clothes than they do with something like a party dress.
Lightweight cardigans
If you prefer something a little warmer, a cardigan is ideal. You can wear one with virtually any outfit. Provided you choose one that is made out of a material that does not crease easily, you can slip one into your handbag or tie it around your waist.
Stylish jackets
Of course, jackets are a good option too, especially if you are planning to be out for the entire evening. Within an hour or two of the sun going down some of the clothing items, I have already mentioned above are not likely to keep you warm enough. So, it is wise to have at least one summer jacket in your wardrobe. If you are not sure which type to choose, you might find this article helpful. It looks at 10 classic jacket cuts and provides suggestions of how you could wear each one.
Don’t forget to accessorise
All of the above items are available in a range of styles. So, it will not be hard to find something that fits in with the way you like to dress. Hopefully, you have enjoyed this article and would like to read more of my fashion related posts. You can do so by clicking on this link, which will take you to an article that will help you to choose the right accessories.
