Fawkes in The Walks - The 10th Anniversary Goes off with a Bang

Every year without fail as a family we wrap up warm and brave the colder weather and head to our local firework display; Fawkes in the Walks. However this year marked a special 10th anniversary and we were expecting big things and we were not disappointed.

Our night began with a hot chocolate, is there any other way? Once we grabbed our hot chocolate we headed over to the display and luckily we managed to catch the lighting of the bonfire by West Norfolk Mayor, Nick Daubney. Soon after lots more people were braving the cold and enjoyed an array of fairground rides, stalls, hook-a-ducks and live music. It was bigger and so much better than the previous year, we were very excited.

We were all standing near the fire and our daughter was feeling poorly and she was sick on my husband's wellingtons, poor little lady. We then headed over to the toilet to try and clean up and we were going to head off home, but our daughter was adamant that she felt better and that she got too hot at the bonfire, so we decided to stay. We were meeting with some family and friends and our daughter caught the eye of a photographer and decided to get a couple of snaps, she made it in the front of the Lynn News. Soon enough our heads were soon turned as we saw pretty colours and the dazzling fireworks display.

What are your plan for this weekend? Are you going to a display?
