Lately I have a big shakeup with my skin care routine and so far it's been great. However, all this sunshine has been affecting my skin making it dry and sensitive meaning that some products irritate and cause more harm to my skin than they should do. One thing that has become clear to me when developing a good skincare routine is the importance of hydration, and with all this sun my skin has become very dehydrated. Most people understand that skin hydration is important for healthy skin. After all most people apply a moisturising cream on daily basis in an attempt to stop their skin from becoming dry. However skin hydration is much more than dryness. Hydration also affects the skins ability to renew in the dermis and for skin cells to shed effectively from the epidermis. And if the skin is lacking in hydration, all sorts of skin problems can occur. To fix dehydrated skin, you need to address your skin care routine and your overall health. This means hydrating from the inside out.
Simple changes such as drinking more water and eating foods that are jam packed full of vitamins and minerals can make all the difference. Think about limiting your caffeine and alcohol intake. The bottom line with alcohol, and caffeine, is that if you are dehydrated, your skin isn't getting enough moisture and it can dry out. If you're trying to moisturise from the inside out, you will want to limit these drying culprits, or avoid them altogether. Something that else you could do is change your skincare routine with this new Simple Water Boost range which has been developed with skin-essential minerals, plant extract and nothing harsh binding itself skin deep down for long lasting hydration. And now a couple of products from this Water Boost ranges have made it into my skincare routine and I must say they definitely pack a punch with it comes to hydrating my skin.
Lightweight and silky in texture, Simple Water Boost Hydrating Gel Cream delivers instant and long-lasting hydration to dull, thirsty skin. It's non-greasy formula smooths away dryness for skin that looks and feels healthy and revitalized with no sticky residue. Skin is better protected against dehydration and sensitivity with every use. Oh this is so good. I actually cannot tell you how much I love this hydrating cream. At first I was a little dubious with it being a gel and I thought that perhaps it would dry my skin out or leave my skin feeling oily. I was looking for something that would be a good mixture of hydrating my skin without leaving a heavy residue on my face, and this gel did just that. And so this is something that I will keep in my daily skincare routine from here on out because my skin has never felt so hydrated. I must admit when I first used the gel cream it doesn't seem like your skin will absorb it but after lightly massaging it in, your skin just feel so good. There's no residue and it's not greasy whatsoever. In my opinion, it would work for any skin type because there's literally no residue and it just absorbs into the skin so nicely and naturally.
Simple's Water Boost Hydrating Booster is specifically designed to reverse dehydration signs such as dry, rough, tight or dull looking skin, making it ideal for dry, dehydrated or sensitive skin. Lightweight formulation instantly quenches thirsty skin, making it look and feel healthy, supple and soft to the touch. This is a tube of goodness. Trust me. This hydrating booster feels so lightweight with a clear gel-like consistency but it was NOT sticky or heavy, it felt just right! A little goes a long way so I would recommend using about a pea sized amount. I liked how it instantly replenished my skin before I used a moisturiser. Every morning I will use this hydrating booster before applying my face cream, I just find that this really helped the cream to sink deeper into those layers to replenish my dehydrated skin. Another great thing about this booster is that it doesn't have a scent to it, like some traditional creams and gels and it did not upset my sensitive skin whatsoever. I think the only thing that I would say is don't put any of this cream on broken skin, it stings. But other that that, this booster is really something else. I highly recommend trying it if you have dry, dehydrated sensitive skin, and are looking for a lightweight chemical free, plant based booster to add to your skin care routine. It is perfect for the summer time!
As well as moisturising during the day, it's also important to make sure you look after your skin during the night. After a tough day battling impurities your skin naturally rejuvenates overnight and the majority of night creams are specifically designed to enhance this process by boosting the skin with moisture and also targeting specific skin concerns like fine lines. So reversing the sign of dehydrating skin while you sleep with Simple's Water Boost Skin Quench Sleeping Cream. It's silky, lightweight gel cream formula absorbs quickly into skin to replenish dull and tired skin, so you are ready for the day ahead. I can’t rave about this stuff enough! It leaves your skin feeling so smooth and glowy!!! Dries really fast but still leaves you will a dewy look but non greasy. My dry skin just soaks it up! It’s amazing as all ingredients are natural and plant based so nice and gentle on your skin.
So, as you can see I am pretty impressed with this Simple Water Boost Range. It's so much better than their regular products and I already have an eye on their Micellar Cleansing Water, Hydrating Boost Mask, and their wipes. This range is great in hydrating the skin, but also the fact that it's completely budget friendly make it even better. Have you tried anything from Simple's Water Boost Range? If so, what did you think?
