We know that the British weather can bring plenty of gloomy looking days, but that doesn’t mean the fun needs to stop. Even when it rains, there are plenty of things to keep everyone occupied, such as making forts out of blankets and pillows, baking cookies, watching your favourite films or putting on a talent show.
When it's raining we like to break out the craft box and get creative. Our stash of supplies is quite extensive, but we're always looking for new ways to express ourselves. It is for this reason that we are happy to learn about Crystal Art, which is basically paint by numbers, but with crystals.
Not being too familiar with Crystal Art we were excited to see what was inside. These kits really remind me of those adult colouring books that have become popular as a form of relaxation, meditation and stress relief. So I know that it is something that will be relaxing and therapeutic, Inside our kit there was a card with Peter Rabbit Under The Gate on the front, an envelope, several bags of crystal labelled with an individual letter, clip and seal bags, a crystal pen, wax and a tray. Everything that we will need to create a beautiful diamond painting.
This Peter Rabbit Crystal Art Card Kit was so simple to do and we found it very relaxing too. Starting with a number or letter on the dots on your crystal art card, use the bag of crystals marked with the same letter or number to create your masterpiece. Then simply dip the tip of your pen into the small jelly square of wax until it is completely filled and pick up some crystals. Place the crystals on the corresponding sticky dot. Repeat until you have worked your way through all the bags of crystals, and covered all the dots with the crystals. So simple and easy!
There is a whole Peter Rabbit Crystal Art Collection available at Craft Buddy UK which is launching on the 28th February. You can choose from Peter Rabbit, Benjamin Bunny, Jemima Puddle-Duck to Tom Kitten, Squirrel Nutkin and so many more. These Crystal Arts Kits are ideal for children from the ages 8 and up for hours of fun.
The Peter Rabbit Crystal Art Card Kit was such a great craft to do on a rainy afternoon. My daughter really enjoyed making her very own beautiful and sparkly crystal greeting card that she can give to a friend or family member. These kits are a great way to give children time to focus on something that can be done over a period of time, we did this together over a couple of days. Crystal Art Kits would be a great gift idea for a family and friends who enjoy those calm colouring books, or with Spring just around the corner, it would be the perfect time to add something like this into an Easter Basket or as a gift instead of an chocolate egg. Have you ever done Crystal Art before?
