Chocolate Easter Egg Nests

Chocolate Easter Egg Nests are a classic favourite to make over Easter. These little nests of chocolatey goodness are the perfect recipe to create with your little ones, there's no baking, you can make a batch in minutes, but I cannot guarantee no mess though. But nonetheless these will be a big hit with the little ones.

You will need:
200g milk chocolate
100g of your chosen cereal (Cornflakes, All-Bran, Shredded Wheat)
2 tbsp. of golden syrup, optional.
1 90g bag of mini eggs

How to make these nests of chocolatey goodness in three easy steps...
1. Line a 12-hole fairy cake tin with paper cases and break all the chocolate into pieces without eating too many before adding to your bowl.

2. Melt the chocolate and golden syrup in a bowl set over a pan of gently simmering water, (do not let the base of the bowl touch the water). Stir the mixture until smooth. Remove the bowl from the heat and gently stir in the cornflakes until all of the cereal is coated in the chocolate. Just bare in mind with the cereal you may need more or less, so add them a little bit at a time until they are evenly coated.

3. Divide the mixture between the paper cases and press 2-3 chocolate eggs into the centre of each nest. Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.

That's it, you're ready to tuck into your Chocolate Easter Egg Nests so enjoy!
