GLOSSY BOX - February 2018: 'Galentine's' Beauty Box

With Valentine's just around the corner, most people are probably looking for any last minute inspiration for their other half. Valentine's Day may not be for everyone. Some people relish in the excitement of pink, hearts, cuddly soft bears, chocolates and flowers, while others like to avoid the day of love like the plague. Now as a married woman, Valentine's Day is something that both my husband celebrate, however since getting married a less than a month later, we just like to roll them into one evening. But that does not mean I can't make a little purchase to myself for myself! This is where the February Glossbox comes in...

The 'Galentine's Day' Edition is pretty good. I'm not new to beauty boxes, I have to say they are pretty great idea and make an even better gift. The beauty box is full of treats that are perfect for a girl's night out. If you're new to Glossybox, it's a monthly subscription box that comes packed with both full sized products that cover all areas of beauty from skin care, hair, nails, makeup and everything else in between from brand we all love and those discoveries that become little gems. The box costs £13.25 per month and contains contents that are always over the cost of the box. In a nutshell, you get a box full of goodies all for that monthly price.

So without further ado, let's see what's in the Glossybox for February - The Galentine's Edition!

Let's go all in, and talk about the full size Sleek i-Divine Palette in Storm. This palette consists of 12 shades of super pigmented, long lasting, mineral based eye shadow, designed to suit all and contain pearlescent shades. The eye shadows are mostly neutral shades ranging from golds to browns, from creams to pink, with a couple of dark green and blue shades, in metallic and matte finishes. This is what makes this palette so versatile. It can be used to create natural looks that can be worn on any occasion, and the darker shades offer a beautiful touch of color and can be used to create smoky looks for a girl's night out.

Steve Laurent Lip and Cheek Tint No.1// £17

Can we just take a moment to appreciate how gorgeous the packaging is on this lip and cheek tint balm? We all know that I adore anything with a Rose Gold hue, so this was the first product that I wanted to open. The tint isn’t in your face, it is a very warm shade the perfect nude shade. It’s easy to blend onto the cheeks and isn’t sticky or drying. The formula is creamy and sits wonderfully on the lips, creating a subtle wash of colour that’s perfect for every day wear. I think that this is perfect to pop into your handbag for nights out, or time away.

Skin Chemist 24hr Aqua Cream// £64

The Skin Chemist 24hr Aqua Cream is perfect for a high dose of moisture to set you up for the day. This 24 hour repair facial serum has been formulated to soothe and hydrate the skin. I think for me, this was something that I was really looking forward to trying out as I have never used anything from the Skin Chemist. And I have heard nothing but great things. My skin has been battling the elements throughout the winter so it needs some extra T.L.C and this is going to be a great product to add into my routine.

Studio 10 Fixing Spray// £14

I must admit, fixing spray is not something that I have ever used so I was very keen to try the Studio 10 Beauty Makeup Mist Glow-Plexion . So this is a primer, setting spray and moisturiser all in one. It also doubles up as a pore reducer too! This is super light weight and after using it three days in a row now I noticed my pores aren’t clogged at all and my makeup is definitely lasting a lot longer than it usually would. However, it does need to be mentioned that the spray itself does let out quite a lot of product, so you need to prepare for that. It took me by surprise. I was thinking it would be more of a mist than a spritz. But this is still something I shall continue to use.

Ciaté Geology Nail Varnish// £6

Ciaté nail polishes are always absolutely stunning but I love the colour I received in this month’s glossybox! Offering ten days of ‘high gloss shine’ and I couldn't wait to test this out. So far it's pretty good and I am so obsessed with this colour. Ciaté are well known for their advent calendars that are full of these mini nail varnishes enabling many to test the colours before making a full size purchase. I will be purchasing this colour at full size once I have used this mini version.
