DIY Father's Day Canvas

As it's June now, Father's Day is just around the corner. If you're like me and always find it difficult to find a perfect gift from your little one, I may have a solution for you. My husband loves anything that our daughter makes. It's better than anything I could ever buy him and that's what I love about him. Although I do like to buy him other gifts for Father's Day I wanted him to have something special from our little lady. This little project was perfect and it was so much fun.

What you'll need:
A blank canvas
Masking tape
Poster paints or finger paints for little ones
Paintbrushes
Scissors

STEP 1
Cut the wording out of your masking tape and stick to the blank canvas. Try and be creative with the arrangement and what you want it to say, we opted for 'Dad' as our canvas was quite small.
STEP 2
This is the fun part. It's time to allow your little one loose with their paints. Either with their fingers or paint brushes paint over the masking tape, we did find that using one paint at a time was a lot easier than four or five, as we created a lovely black blob canvas.
STEP 3
Cover the whole canvas with paint. Just before setting it to dry, remove the masking tape slowly to reveal the wording. For any bleeding just use a white pen marker to make the letters look cleaner and crisper.
