FAWKES IN THE WALKS | Fire work display

Hello everyone,

I hope that you all had a fantastic weekend? I am sure that this will not be the only post that you will see about Guy Fawkes Night, but I still would love to share it with you.

There is nothing better than getting yourself prepared for the colder, darker evenings than wrapping yourself up and attending a pretty firework display. Also you know that it not too long until Christmas! I have always loved Bonfire night, I can always remember my Uncle's Bonfire parties - they were they best. But hosting a Bonfire party these days can be troublesome and expensive mainly because there is so much to consider so many choose to go to a professional display, which is what we did.

We attended an event in Norfolk called Fawkes in The Walks a free firework display. This is not the first time that we have attended but each year the display gets better and better I do think that this year was by far one of the best.

As we do not live too far from the display I thought that we would walk with the whole family and it only took us about half an hour as we had the little ones. But they all did so well.

We arrived about 7pm and the display wasn't due to start at 8pm so we had plenty of time to find a good spot, and we did. We all got comfortable on the main pathway just inside some trees and after a small delay we enjoyed the show.

Both Tony and I were a little apprehensive about taking Amelia to the display, because we just didn't know how she would react, but she absolutely loved it. Amelia would point at them and say wow, or "what's that?" I was so proud of her.

What did you get up to on Bonfire night?

  1. Beautiful photos! I love fireworks night. (On the night, two weeks of constant explosions in the evenings not so much!)

  2. ooooh we totally should have gone this year but I was too frightened of the bedtime interruption and the overwhelming noise factor! You've made me determined to go next year though! x

  3. We stayed in! Upon seeing a few fireworks, we discovered that Zach really doesn't like the loud bangs so for us it was a night in with the rabbits (we brought them in so they weren't scared!). Hopefully next year he won't mind them! Looks like you had a fab time :) Thanks so much for linking up with #TwinklyTuesday
